News from the Front: When curiosity killed the experiment(al) prospects!

by Gauri Gharpure – Shalini Venkatesan and I were out testing some artificial flower models when we were greeted by these excited (and presumably hungry) bonnet macaques. Our bag carrying the equipment was confiscated and minutely examined for any traces of food. Unfortunately for them, it didn’t have anything edible so it was promptly discarded on the road, including the freshly autoclaved box of filtered tips and along with it, our prospects of performing our experiments there.
So we did what anyone else would do: we gathered back our stuff, trying not to get bitten in the process, and had a nice chat while gazing out from the hilltop before heading back to the lab.🙂
All in all, it is good to see that we are not the only curious creatures out there! 😉
(P.S. No animals were harmed in the process; we ensured they did not ingest any of the items.)
