The NICE Lab was honored to be part of an important initiative that resulted from the First Collaborations in Chemical Ecology Workshop held in Bangalore from September 10-13, 2016. This unique statement, which was featured by the Editor in Chief of the Journal of Chemical Ecology, John Romeo, was written in a truly collaborative fashion through Google Docs with 18 co-authors from 4 continents. It is a call to arms to the chemical ecology community to increase collaborations across the world, and provides some suggestions on specific ways to enhance chemical ecology research in our most biodiverse regions.
